Er-Wen Yang, founder of Rooted Hubs, is Taiwanese with a Han Chinese cultural background. She hopes to serve as a bridge, connecting Indigenous peoples and their stories from Taiwan to the international stage. While in the Netherlands she realized that the Dutch colonial history of Taiwan is not widely known. This inspired her first exhibition, Unseen Formosa: Fragments of 17th Century VOC and Indigenous Taiwan, held at Wageningen University (June 2025) and NGO DEI, The Hague (September 2025). She then co-curated *Becoming Siraya: Connecting the Past to Present Day
400 Years After the Dutch VOC* together with Tainan Siraya Culture Association, which was presented at Wageningen Bibliotheek (May-June, 2026) and Nowhere Bookstore, The Hague (September, 2026)
