Nowhere Bookstore, launched in Taipei from April 23, 2022. Our journey in the Netherlands began on September 26, 2024, with a pop-up at NGO DEI, an art gallery in The Hague. Since March 14, 2025, we officially moved into our own home at Piet Heinstraat 42, 2518 CJ, The Hague.
These movements were more than spatial—they marked a growing web of encounters across communities and contexts. Over the past year, Nowhere Netherlands has hosted book launches, film screenings, dialogues, and workshops, building connections with Sinophone creators and audiences all across Europe.
Our English name, Nowhere, is a play on words: when we have nowhere to go, may we find a way to be now here—present, grounded, and together. In an age of displacement, we strive to rebuild our own home, and reconnect with each other.
飛地書店於2022年4月23日自台北創立。2024年9月26日，飛地在海牙的藝術畫廊“我地”/NGO DEI亮相，也標誌著在荷蘭的旅程正式開啓。2025年3月14日，我們在海牙的Piet Heinstraat 42號擁有了屬於自己的實體空間。
空間的遷徙，不只是物理位置的轉變，也讓我們在不同的社群與文化中開展對話。在這一年裡，飛地·荷蘭舉辦了數場書籍發布、放映、對談與工作坊，也與歐洲各地的華語創作者和受眾建立了連結。
書店以「Nowhere」為英文名，取其雙重含義：當我們無處可去（nowhere）時，願我們能在此地此刻安住（now here）；在離散的時代，重建家園，重逢你我。
Books and Beyond: Our Focus 選書方向與關注議題
Nowhere Bookstore began with publications from the broader Sinosphere world, focusing on social issues, gender, and identity. As our journey continued in the Netherlands, an English section gradually came into being—we not only introduced English translations of Chinese classics and key works by Sinologists, but also expanded themes to English works on migration experience, colonial histories, feminism, and queer communities, etc.
飛地書店以泛華語地區的出版物為起點，聚焦於社會議題、性別與身份等主題。隨著落地荷蘭，我們逐漸建立起英文專區，不僅收錄英譯的中國經典文學、當代中國研究學者的著作，也延續並拓展了以往的主題，聚焦殖民歷史、移民故事、女性主義和酷兒社群等。
We also focus on Pan-Asian histories, societies and cultures, featuring English works and translations by classic authors, as well as original English writings by Asian diasporic authors. In addition, thanks to Nowhere Chiang Mai and Nowhere Rito (Tokyo), we have introduced handicrafts from Thailand and Japan, making the bookstore a vibrant space where culture and art meet beyond language.
我們也關注泛亞洲地區的歷史、社會和文化，引入了各國經典作家的英語作品或譯本，還包括亞裔離散作者的英文創作。同時，得益於飛地·清邁和飛地·離島（東京）的存在，我們還引進了來自泰國、日本的手工藝品，讓書店超越語言，成為文化與藝術的交會點。
Zines and self-published works also play a vital role in our collection. These grassroots creations are not just an organic form of self-expression, but also an essential part of imagining and building the “Nowhere Republic”, a community-driven cultural space.
So far, we have collected works by independent artists from both local and global scenes, providing a welcoming stage for independent publishers. The creativity and vitality from these publications are like the veins and pulse of the bookstore, sustaining an ecosystem of diverse, experimental, and intimate narratives, and opening up to new possibilities.
小誌與自出版物同樣至關重要。這些草根創作不光是與生俱來的自我表達，也是“飛地共和國”想像與構建公民社會不可或缺的一環。我們收錄了荷蘭乃至全球不同背景的獨立藝術家的作品，讓書店成為獨立出版的舞台。這些作品所蘊藏的創造力和生命力，如同書店的血管與脈搏，共同編織著多元、實驗與親密的敘事，也讓人看到了無數嶄新的可能。
Our Events 我們的活動
Since its founding in Taipei, Nowhere Bookstore has never been a place only for books, but also a space for cultural exchange among diasporic and diverse communities. Arriving in the Netherlands, we may not be geographically connected to Taipei, but we carry the same value and intention.
The bookstore has witnessed many encounters—between individuals, communities, and between moments of creation and memory. Through our growing constellation of events, we have collectively expanded the boundaries of what a bookstore can be, turning it into a vessel for imagination, dialogue, and action.
飛地書店自台北誕生之初，就不僅僅是書的集合地，更是離散與多元文化的交流空間。來到荷蘭，這間新的「飛地」雖然在地理上無法與台北直接相連，卻延續著相同的精神與理念。
書店見證了許多邂逅——無論是人與人、社群與社群，還是一次創作與一段記憶之間的相遇。通過一場場活動，我們也在這裡共同拓展了書店的邊界，讓它成為想象、對話與行動的載體。

Refund Policy 退貨政策
For “physical goods” such as books purchased online, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days after receiving your order, without giving any reason. Returned items must be sent back within 3 working days and should be in a condition suitable for resale. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, unless otherwise required by law.
「實體商品」：包括書籍在內線上購買的實體商品可在收到貨品後14天內申請無理由退貨。退貨必須在申請後3個工作日內寄回且商品狀態適合被再次銷售。除了法律另有規定，退貨的運費由消費者承擔。
“Event tickets” are non-refundable once purchased, unless the event is cancelled or otherwise announced by the organiser. Under the exception for leisure/cultural activities provided on a specific date or period under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to these tickets. Please make sure you are able to attend before purchasing.
